Dates, times, and location information
Numeracy 8/9 focuses on curricular and core competencies using foundational mathematics content. It is not a review of Mathematics 8 or 9; and not a preview course for Grade 7 students.
Numeracy 8/9 is available for students who meet the following criteria:
- Have taken Mathematics 8 or 9, but their competency is Emerging or Developing
- Require development of core skills and foundational knowledge
- Would benefit from additional teacher support and direct instruction to develop understanding, foundational skills, and knowledge
This course is tailored to meet individual student needs, target gaps in learning, and provide extra support to develop reflective and engaged learners. Students are assessed on the first day of class, then grouped by skill level.
Students completing Grade 8 this year must register for Numeracy 8.
Students completing Grade 9 this year must register for Numeracy 9.
If you register for the wrong course, your registration will be void.
Daily attendance is mandatory.
Families are encouraged to register early, as space is limited and fills up quickly.
